Week 1

Well, we made it through our first week! It has been very hectic. Drew hasn't been home until late every night, because he was either working for me, going to seminars, or having awards night at his school. To top it all off, he had to go to another seminar all day today. So, we haven't seen much of dad lately, but somehow we made it through. Taryn had her first doctor's appointment. She went down to 7 lbs., but she grew an inch. Other than that, we have just been hanging out at home. Here's some new pictures.

The boys are nice to her, most of the time!

What a cute little dress!

The boys like to hold Taryn, even though she doesn't always enjoy it!

This is where Taryn spends most of her day, except when she is being held.

Taryn's First Adventure

So, I took Taryn out of the house for the first time today. I had to run some errands, and so I thought that I would take Quin and Taryn while Teagan was at Joy School. I just figured that two kids is much easier than three. So, we had to go to the bank and the post office. Thank goodness both are in the Albertsons. Taryn and Quin were really good, until we got back in the car to pick up Teagan. Quin decided to steal Taryn's blanket. Then while I was getting Teagan, Quin stuck stickers on Taryn's leg. Then he discovered the sun shade on the car seat moves. This scared Taryn and she began to cry, and of course Quin is laughing uncontrollably. Needless to say...I think that we need to move Teagan to the middle of the backseat, and Taryn to the side. Quin just isn't sure that he enjoys having a little sister yet!

Holy crap it really is a girl!

Ok so for starters, this is Drew. I am not a "blogger", but I will do my best. Yesterday 5/7/09 at 8:02am Taryn Olive Thomson was born. She weighed in at 7lbs. 10 oz. and 18.5 inches long. 10 fingers, 10 toes, and definately a girl. Since I take photographs and don't "blog", I guess I will just post all the pics from yesterday. I am sure Jamie will post a real post when she gets home and is feeling right.
Jamie at 5:15am right before we left for the hospital.

I think she is saying, "What the hell just happened!"

She does have a little hair....very little.

Still getting cleaned off.

Don't tell the boys, but momma didn't cry when they were born.

Just chillin under the heating lamp....actually chillin isn't the right word then.

Still relaxing

Mommy and baby.

Grandpa Lyman got lucky. He was the only person besides Jamie and I when they brought Taryn in the room.

Grandma and Grandpa Thomson showed up with our other two rug-rats.

These two were absolutely amazing with her.

"So I'm a big brother now huh?"

Proud Grandpa.

See! There's some hair.....some.

Grandma Lyman and Aunt Kelli showed up for a cuddle session.

Wow lots of pictures. Like I said, I am sure Jamie will do a far better post in a couple of days.

Our Anniversary

So today was our 7th wedding anniversary. I can't believe that we have been married that long! It seems like we have been together for such a long time. Well, because of everything that we have going on lately, we decided not to do much. We just enjoyed a nice dinner date at Olive Garden. Real fancy, I know! At least we were able to go out by ourselves. Taryn is coming on Thursday, and I don't think that we will be able to go on another date anytime soon. So we got to enjoy it while we could. Thanks to my parents and sister for babysitting!

Quin's 2nd Birthday

Yesterday was Quin's 2nd birthday, so we used it as a good excuse to take all the kids to Bonnie Springs. We used to go there when we were kids and we thought that the kids would enjoy it. The day was a lot of fun, but it sure did have a lot of interesting moments. We started off with a picnic, which was great until Teagan threw up everywhere! Then he had to go potty, which was his first time peeing behind a bush. Well, let's just say that his pants got a little wet! So, we all finished eating and had cupcakes, but it was too windy to light the candles. Then we had Quin open his presents. Because of the wind, he did this in the back of my parent's Yukon. The day did get better from there. We rode the train up to the petting zoo and the old western area. The kids had fun, but there were a lot of tears. The train was too noisy, the animals were too close, and I think that most of the kids were just plain tired. But overall, I think that all of the kids had fun. Maybe we'll try again when the kids are a little older!
This is where Teagan spent most of the picnic.

Quin pretending to blow out his candles. We couldn't get them lit because it was too windy.

Quin liked to lick the frosting off of his cupcake before he ate it.

Quin opening his presents in the back on the Yukon because it was too windy outside! Notice Teagan's pants drying on the top of the car in the background!

Quin's audience as he opened his presents.

The kids all waiting for the train to come.

Teagan riding on the train. Some of the other kids weren't as happy, because the loud train noises scared them.

Quin even cried when he rode on the fake donkey. This is a repeat of the fair when he rode the real horses!

Quin wanted Teagan to hold his hand while he walked around. It was so cute!

On the train ride home, everyone was tired.
